I don't know if this is a reflection of the kind of parent I would be, but I haven't really checked on the worms in a while. I've been adding scrummy kitchen waste to the wormery jr, which means the worms are way down at the bottom and I can't see them. I'm assuming they're all fine. Maybe I'll give them a poke over the weekend.
In other news, after not getting a response from Hackney Council's recycling unit in regards to my recently pilfered recycling bin, I took matters into my own hands. I noticed what I would describe as a stray recycling bin in the environs of our flat and took it. I'm now back recycling as per usual.
As spring slowly approaches, I'm debating what to do with my compost and worm juice. I'd like to grow tomatoes, but we only have a balcony. Any suggestions for vegetables that don't need a lot of space to grow?
