Just came across this piece in the Guardian discussing and suggesting green and ethical christmas gifts. For those of you fed up with the rampant consumerism of the holiday season it's worth a read.
I'm making moves to cut down on holiday excess this year (sorry friends and family!!)--apart from nice wine, of course! I've knit a lot of presents for people, including a pair of jubbly socks for my long suffering fiancee! I'm going to make some christmas puds and mince pies as well.
This is the first year we're having a tree, but it's a fake one that we can use for years to come. I'm going to make some ornaments for it. Yet more crafty projects!
